    1. haha...no they are all in my attic! (Actually 7 of these are on my reader,)

The 20-Year Death is a bit of a beast though,

    2. Col, the ones I'm curious about are the two novels by Michael Simon, and "The Pallampur Predicament." I wonder if it alludes to Palampur, a hill town in the northern state of Himachal Pradesh, located at the foothills of the Himalayas.

    3. Prashant, I'll probably do a blog post on the Simon books in the next week or two. From memory he has written a 4 book series about a Jewish policeman in Texas - I'm hoping I haven't mis-remembered!
The Pallampur Predicament is the second Brian Stoddart book and a further Indian 1920's adventure for the guy from A Madras Miasma. One which was read and enjoyed a month or two ago. Indian setting indeed.

    4. Col, I remember "A Madras Miasma" but didn't realise it was the same author. I'll try and read one of these books as part of my airy plan to read fiction associated with India, be it author or setting.

    5. I hope you find time to give either of or both Brian's books a read in 2015. I'd be interested in your take. I just finished the Pallampur one last evening.

  2. You've got some interesting finds there, Col. I'll especially interested in what you think of the Lehane and the Pronzini. And I like it that you have both novels and short stories. Nice mix!

    1. Margot thanks. I will probably read Pronzini before the Lehane, though I might bump it up the pile if the family intend watching the film of it. I'm unsure if it has been released and I missed it, or if it has yet to appear.

  3. These are all unfamiliar to me, will be interested to see your reviews. The covers look nice.

  4. The Lehane is probably the one that interests me most, but there's a few more I'll go and look up. Ten books - that's not excessive!
