  1. You've a few great ones there,Col. I think you'd like Mike Ripley's Angel novels. And Thompson, Ludlum, and even a Hillerman. And Mosley, too? Yes, that's a nice lot of books there.

  2. I read The Deadly Percheron many many years, and remember it as being very good and terrifying. Couple of others to catch my interest there - Danny King of course... Good luck with the reading!

  3. I read the Michael Malone book and loved it. His books are not short though. Not big chunksters but sizable. Someday I really have to get to The Bourne Identity.

    1. Tracy, yes they are more than a quick read which does kind of have me shuffling them back down the pile a bit. Once I've started it though I'm sure I will enjoy it though. Ditto your comment re Bourne!

  4. Col, I went through a Robert Ludlum phase in the eighties followed by a John Irving and John le Carré phase in the next two decades. The latter two have written some amazing novels. Of course, one cannot overlook Ludlum's Bourne trilogy. He was a class in himself.

    1. I haven't yet tried Ludlum, though I have enjoyed the Bourne films. Irving is a favourite though sometimes a wee bit long-winded. Le Carre - I've only read the first Smiley book.
