Lots of Lawrence Block and Elmore Leonard here this time, Col. I think you'll enjoy that part of getting through the TBR :-)
ReplyDeleteYes Margot a fair few favourites this week, plus Vachss and Lansdale as well - happy days!
DeleteLike Margot says, lots of Block and Leonard that I should be reading too. I'm also looking out for Ian Fleming's paperbacks that I feel like reading. I'm tired of the 007 movies.
ReplyDeleteI was never a big fan of the Bond films growing up, I have watched a few of the recent ones, but never really cared for Sean Connery and I preferred Roger Moore as the Saint. I'm looking forward to Fleming's books though.
DeleteMost of my favourite Elmore Leonard books there and Hollywood is great fun.
ReplyDeleteI've probably read most of the Elmore's, but a long-time ago, so I'm sure they'll stand a re-read. I've not read HOLLYWOOD yet. POST OFFICE was a great read, I'm not sure if I still have a copy.
DeleteAnother interesting collection of books. I've had The James Deans on my own shelf for a while, and really ought to get round to reading it sometime soon!
ReplyDeleteJohn cheers. I've read one from his previous series many years ago, but haven't yet read any of his later stuff. He's too prolific to keep up with. It's a curious title and I'm wondering what the significance is.
DeleteNothing much to really grab me there, but I'll look forward to the reviews - over the next ?10 years?
ReplyDeleteProbably, maybe longer.... I'm really determined to stop adding which will make a big difference
DeleteAnother two authors I have been meaning to get to. Lawrence Block and Elmore Leonard. I have that book by Alex Berenson and haven't read it.
ReplyDeleteI do like the sound of the Berenson series, though I haven't yet started it and I haven't kept up with the books as they have come out.
DeleteAah, I love Keller the hitman -- must read some more. Thanks to you I am now on my third Chelsea Cain novel at the moment... ;-)
ReplyDeleteWow - I take it they are enjoyable then. Keller the Hit Man series will be read after I finish the Scudder books, which I'm probably a year away from doing if not longer!
DeleteOh yes - good blend of gore (can't read them while eating) and decent characterisation. I'm on number 5 now... ;-)
DeleteBlimey - you aren't hanging about. She's next one up for me!
