2013 NEW AUTHORS TO ME SUMMARY

This year saw me read 156 different books and a staggering 76 were from authors I haven't previously read.

Without flicking through my notes; from memory :-

JANUARY to MARCH - 18 newbies

APRIL to JUNE -13 newbies

JULY to SEPTEMBER - 16 newbies

OCTOBER to DECEMBER - 29 newbies

2014 will I think see me reading a lot less new authors as I try and concentrate on clearing down some of the unread mountain.

  3. Out of 76 books by new authors, it must have been hard to pick. Some I haven't read yet that I hope to read soon: Terry Shames and Rob Kitchin. Bill Pronzini is great and Alan Furst too. Although I have read a lot more Pronzini. I am looking forward to your next year where you read more of what you have already read (authors that is, not books) and I am sure some of those authors will be new to me.

  4. I've never really thought of the new-to-me count till the last part of 2013, but it is such an interesting direction to look at. I liked reading yours, and should go and do some counting of my own.
