  1. Westlake, Kaminsky, Padura...oh, and Meyer, too. Yes, Col, I'd say you've some good reading in store when you get to these books. You've reminded me, too, that I need to put Padura in the spotlight one of these times soon.

    1. A decent tub Margot. I've not yet tried Padura so would be interested to hear your take on him........one of these years eh!

  2. I like Robert Harris's thrillers, but not so keen on the ancient Rome books. That Tim Gautreaux book is one of the worst books I have read in the past five years: I absolutely hated it, so good luck with that. You'll probably love it!

    1. I thought the Rome books would make a change and I'm curious to try them. I remember you wailing against a Gautreaux book previously, but couldn't recall which one. Looking forward to it!

  3. It looks like you and I have a lot of the same Littell books. That is another author I need to read more of. I also have The Man Who Lost the War. Kaminsky is a favorite author and the series set in Russia is my favorite series of his.

    1. Tracy, I haven't yet read Littell which is a bit bizarre considering my numbers of his books must be into double figures! The Tyler book was on a list of best espionage fiction I saw and Kaminsky - again I haven't tried him yet! :-)

  4. Col, I'm looking at some good authors I have never read, and there are too many of them to mention, though I still have to read my Westlakes and Sharpes.

    1. Prashant, I keep dreaming of winning the lottery - not because I want to be rich, but so I can retire soon and read to my heart's content!
