NOVEMBER ADDITIONS TO THE LIBRARY.......SOME OF AT LEAST

Still adding adding adding, but I can say that with December fully 3 days expired I haven't yet acquired anything! Go me.....

Looks interesting - a bit of non-fiction about blue collar life!

Loved her first Washed Up which I read last year, this is Susan Koefod's second!

New release by Blasted Heath!

Gotta love Elaine Ash!

1st or 2nd from this US author.

2nd or 1st from this US author.

Off the beaten track for me, but I'm looking forward to it.

New author, debut novel!

Short stories!

More short stories!
1994 UK crime novel, but it's apparently the 3rd in the series!

US crime fiction.
Maybe next month's post will be a blank canvas........I doubt it!

  1. Col, these are some great covers and I hope the stories inside live up to them and to your expectations. I bought six used paperbacks for less than two pounds over three months and nothing so far in December.

  3. Col - You've got some interesting new finds there. I'll be especially keen to know what you think of the Nigel Bird when you get to it.

    You say Gilbert's Roller-Coaster is #3 in a series. What's the series?

    1. Cheers - some decent reads ahead of me (hopefully!)

I rely on Fantastic Fiction for most of my info regarding authors, books and series. There are "apparently" 3 books featuring Patrick Petrella - Petrella @ Q (1977), The Young Petrella (1988) and Roller Coaster (1994).

On closer examination the first two are collections of short stories featuring PP, whereas the 3rd is a novel. I may not feel compelled to back track on him now.

    2. Oooh! I know the short stories but I hadn't realized there was a Petrella novel. I may have to dig out a copy of this.

Although Smallbone Deceased is one of my #1 guilty pleasures -- I read it every few years -- I'm a bit remiss about my MG reading. I was reminded of this just the other day, with the result that I've now started on The Killing of Katie Steelstock. A quick visit to Wikipedia a few minutes ago has shown me -- devastatingly -- how many others I've missed.

    3. I've not yet read any MG. I have DEATH IN CAPTIVITY unread and this latest addition. I'm hoping I enjoy them both - but not too much otherwise I'll feel compelled to go overboard on the rest of his books! I will check out the two you've mentioned, just to see if they have any appeal - I'll possibly add them to the wish-list thereafter.
