LOGGING THE LIBRARY - PART FIFTY-FOUR

Ed McBain was having a party all by his lonesome, until along comes Marcia Muller and crashes it,

Probably no need for any captions, suffice to say my shaky camera hand is ...... err, shaky, oh and watch out for those shadows...

Ed 49 Marcia 1.... mostly 87th Precinct books with a sprinkling of his Matthew Hope Florida set lawyerly tales.

HIGHLIGHTS... Ed McBain

LOWLIGHTS..... Ed McBain - harking back to my Economics A-Level was it Keynes who espoused the theory of diminishing returns? Nah.......Adam Smith among others (the power of Google!)

  1. I think McBain's worth a tub or two, Col. I think it's great you have so many of his novels. And there are much worse party-crashers than Marcia Muller. You've got some good stuff there, I think.

    1. Well at least I have read and enjoyed a couple of McBain books, so its not as if I have taken a huge blind punt on his work and judging by the size of the books, if I was retired I could read these in 50 days. So there's a kind of method in my squirrel-magpie like madness!

  2. Looks like a McBain festival, Col! As Margot says, definitely worth a large tub. I have some of these titles too and they still remain unread.

    1. I bought a job lot on e-bay a few years ago and have tried to fill the gaps in the meantime. I don't have the complete series, but I think I might have enough to get me started.....
