  1. Ah, you have some good ones, Col. The Robinson was, I thought, very good. And the Gott, too. I see some Brookmyre, too. And several other good 'uns. You're in for some good reading, in my opinion.

    1. I recall a buzz about the GOTT book a year or two ago, so I'm looking forward to this one. Plus I really need to try a few from Peter Robinson as well, I've read very few so far

  2. Barring two or three names, this tub looks like it's from another publishing world. I want to read something by Tom Piccirilli who, sadly, passed away a few months ago. I believe, he was a highly gifted writer.

    1. Prashant, yes I heard he had passed earlier this year. He was one of those authors - similar to Joe R. Lansdale - who could write well across genres. I have a few of his crime fiction books to get to.

  3. Alan Furst is a good writer. Just finished SPIES OF THE BALKANS – the first of his books I have tried. Don’t know why it took me so long to catch up with him.

  5. Not much there for me, but enjoy reading them... (around 2020?)

  6. You know how I feel about Charles McCarry. Although you need to read them in order. I haven't read his two newest ones yet.

I liked The Holiday Murders. Not the least bit cozy. I haven't read enough Furst.

    1. I really do need to start focusing on some of the existing books I own - otherwise what was the point in buying them? McCarry is one of the authors I need to stop ignoring.

Gott has a new one out I think, but I'll avoid for now!
