  1. Col, after Tub 56 I have got to ask you: where do you keep all your books? I mean, where is Col's Criminal Library located?!

    1. In the attic Prashant - which is a bit of a pain in the arse when I want to browse a book or two before deciding on the next read. I do have a shelf or two of books downstairs which holds maybe 50 - 100 books.
I ought to take a photo or two of the tubs all lined up in two rows!

    2. So I'm guessing your attic is a mile long!

    3. haha hardly - in most places where the roof eaves allow - I can stack them 5 high!

  2. Disher, MacBride, Padura, Westlake, Hiaasen, yes, you've got some good reading in store, Col. I hope you enjoy them when you get there.

    1. I'm definitely sorted for the next 25 years or so. I should turn off the internet and just read!

  3. I am envious of all the Westlake. I had hoped to start with the more hard-boiled stuff under the Richard Stark pseudonym but I enjoyed the more humorous one I recently read. Lots of good stuff here. I would enjoy finding all of these books too.

    1. Tracy thanks - I'm looking forward to more Westlake/Stark when I get around to it. I'm glad you enjoyed the recent one you read, especially as you aren't too keen on humour in your mysteries. Maybe Westlake will be the exception.

  4. I want to see that picture of the tubs in their overwhelming numbers.
Not much that I've read here, though I do like Thomas Perry.

    1. Yes - I do like a bit of Thomas Perry - The Butcher's Boy is a particular favourite. Next time I'm up there pulling together a future 50, I'll see what I can do!

  5. Col – Some good books, some great books, some funny books, and some books I never heard of. Man, you must have the world’s largest attic.

    1. Haha no I don't think I have. If I did, I would probably have the world's largest house and then wouldn't be reduced to storing them up in the roof!

  6. I must read some Thomas Perry. (Also, a medal to whoever built your attic floor strong enough for these books!)

    1. I need to read more Perry. His Jane Whitefield series is supposed to be very good, but I've not started it yet. I'll second your praise of my probably long-passed house builder. Hopefully they built them to last in the 30s!
