I bought some books in May.
Well I had a gift card balance left over from a thoughtful Christmas present and what with Father's Day a couple of weeks away over here, and me second-guessing what I may get, assuming I can stay onside with the children during the next fortnight - it seemed appropriate.

The main thing I would say is - great covers! Particularly the top one and the bottom one.

I agree with Moira about the covers, Col - some of them are great! Couple of catchy titles there too. I hope you'll enjoy them.

DeleteI echo the "great covers" comments. Just on the surface, most don't look like the content would appeal to me. But who knows?
ReplyDeleteI hope you read Motherless Brooklyn soon. I have been interested in that but never got any further than that.
Tracy, I like pretty much all the covers, though I have seen more attractive editions of the Motherless Brooklyn book.
DeleteCol, I agree, some great covers here and I'm especially keen on reading Max Allan Collins.
ReplyDeleteCollins is very prolific. He has a few series on the go - probably his most famous is Nate Heller, which I haven't tried. I opted for two of his other series - Frank Nolan - a robber and Quarry - a hit man. He also continued with Mickey Spillane's Mike Hammer books after the author's death.
