I want to read some Pascal Garnier - the name keeps popping up. Will be interested in your thoughts on that one.

DeleteThat's a lot of books for someone with an embargo, but I'm impressed by the attempt to shift the blame to others. I believe I have not heard of any of these, so will await reviews with interest.

Col - Embargo? What embargo? ;-) At any rate you've got a nice lot of books there. I've heard that Tenderloin is quite good. I'll be interested of course in what you think of all of them.

DeleteCol, I sense a lot of good books here particularly the Paul D. Brazil title; he's one of many "new" authors I hope to read this year.

DeletePrashant thanks. Slight misunderstanding they aren't Paul's titles insofar as he authored them. I'm holding him responsible for me buying them because of his frequent blogging about new stuff that interests me. My wallet would be in better shape if he blogged about cosey mysteries concerning cats and little old ladies, or conversely if I could exercise a modicum of self control, instead of acting like Billy Bunter let loose in a sweet shop!
DeleteCol, I knew I was confused about the Brazill titles. I thought they might be pseudonyms for him but I didn't find these titles under his name on the internet. My silly mistake! Still, Brazill is an author I intend to read.
DeleteHey no problem - I have him on the UNREAD pile as well. He has been giving away some of his short stories on his website every Saturday for the past 6 weeks or so - have you been getting them?

DeleteSo Glen has "The Old Buzzard Had It Coming" ... I knew I recognized that cover. Other than that, the Garnier is the only other one I have heard of. I will have to wait and see what you think of them.
ReplyDeleteI have not been successful at cutting back on buying books either. In February I did better, only three books. In January and March .... way too many.
