My 2 by post today concerns an author I have only recently
discovered; Larry Fondation.
I haven’t yet read anything by him, but at some point this
year I will hopefully rectify this aberration.

There’s a quote from him there .......……

He has published 5 books in total in addition to the 2 up on

All 5 books are
loosely connected tales of LA life, a place I like reading about.
These sound interesting but maybe too dark. I will see what you think when you read them.

DeleteInteresting. Short books, excellent titles (I'm so shallow). Never heard of him, but will look out for the reviews.

DeleteSounds dark and interesting. Speaking LA stories I assume you've read James Ellroy? I have several of his books in my tbr pile. I re-watched LA Confidential the other day. Love that movie.
ReplyDeleteI don't know if they are all available as e-books but I know a couple of the 5 are. ELLROY - one of my favourites when I started reading in the genre. His LA quartet are some of my best books read ever. Kind of gone off him of late. Longer books, stylistically challenging to read - which I can cope with, but he seems to be saying "aren't I clever?" which irritates me. Love LA Confidential the film......Dudley's my favourite in this.
