I ought to read a Crime Time cover to cover soon, though it will undoubtedly give me a fresh list of books and authors that I missed first time around.

You are spot on re the strangeness of the Block-Burglar cover. I really like it. It seems harsh in contrast to the other editions I have from the series which seem much gentler. col2910https://www.blogger.com/profile/06422138069939709043noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2109031751968258131.post-15088125720609115922015-04-10T22:33:15.694-07:002015-04-10T22:33:15.694-07:00I have read lots of Bond books (by Fleming) but so...I have read lots of Bond books (by Fleming) but so long ago I remember very little. Also read Casino Royale after it came out as a movie, and was surprised to see how much the book was like the film. I plan to read all of them again... someday.

I also have several Crime Time magazines from around 2000 and 2001ish. I love reading them.

That cover for THE BURGLAR IN THE LIBRARY looks really strange. Going to reread those too.TracyKhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08303342674824383688noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2109031751968258131.post-84084883389843192292015-04-09T00:18:12.932-07:002015-04-09T00:18:12.932-07:00I really don't recall SLIVER being that bad, b...I really don't recall SLIVER being that bad, but who knows, my film memory is as bad as my book memory. I re-read The Spy Who Came in From The Cold last year - he drags you in and doesn't let go til the bitter end. The children and I gave it to our local Poor Dad, who has a permanent low-level whine that his family is out to bankrupt him and that he will be in the workhouse soon if we don't all stop spending money like water. Just the name of the book makes us all laugh inordinately. I don't know that anyone ever read it though.
Some nice ones there, familiar titles and different ones by familiar authors. I'm always thinking I should read another Ira Levein - his A Kiss Before Dying is a memorably brilliant book.
