So I was surprised too. Of course, I am not very observant when reading and am working on that problem.<br /><br />Then when I went looking for copies (of any of his books) I saw that some of the paperbacks were looking vintage-y...<br /><br />Sounds interesting. Maybe too noir for me, but definitely worth a try. I think I vaguely assumed it was contemporary - but then knowing it was so much older made it more attractive. Don't know why that should be...
