I always used to pick-up NO EXIT PRESS books - a crime fiction imprint in the UK.col2910https://www.blogger.com/profile/06422138069939709043noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2109031751968258131.post-55781954181228020902015-02-13T11:58:24.332-08:002015-02-13T11:58:24.332-08:00There is a lot of variety in this bucket, as Moira...There is a lot of variety in this bucket, as Moira points out. I am interested in Arthur Lyons, but I cannot remember where I heard of him. I just looked him up and now I am even more interested... so thanks.TracyKhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08303342674824383688noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2109031751968258131.post-83805260360416777472015-02-10T03:10:50.605-08:002015-02-10T03:10:50.605-08:00I think there's a bit of a blurb from Stephen ...I think there's a bit of a blurb from Stephen Fry on the back cover of the Bonfiglioli which also helped sell it to me - that and the 50p price tag! Throw across the room loathing - I ought to move it up the pile then! I'll check out the Depp film, though I'm not a massive fan TBH. col2910https://www.blogger.com/profile/06422138069939709043noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2109031751968258131.post-24913329804484381192015-02-10T02:16:43.952-08:002015-02-10T02:16:43.952-08:00You certainly mix them up Col, that's a very v...You certainly mix them up Col, that's a very varied selection. A Kyril Bonfiglioli book has just been turned into a film starring Johnny Depp - it got terrible reviews. I tried one of the books years ago, and absolutely hated it: throw-across-the-room hated it. Of course you may love him!Clothes In Bookshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14680610242823846662noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2109031751968258131.post-42801247286241800312015-02-09T07:19:57.061-08:002015-02-09T07:19:57.061-08:00Happy viewing! I'd be more surprised if we had the same edition I think!

YURICK - I just looked up - Jewish writer from New York, now deceased. Had about 5 or 6 novels out - THE WARRIORS was from the mid-60's and was released as a motion picture in 1979. SOMETHING NASTY IN THE WOODSHED - probably the best title in the bunch, and it was the clincher when I bought it!col2910https://www.blogger.com/profile/06422138069939709043noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2109031751968258131.post-18432335738086378402015-02-09T04:50:22.298-08:002015-02-09T04:50:22.298-08:00Col - I was going to mention the Block novels too ...Col - I was going to mention the Block novels too - I think that's a great series. And I really do hope you'll enjoy the Dalziel and Pascoe novels. To me, that's a terrific police procedural series. The Dibdins are good, too, in my opinion. Oh, and I like that title: Something Nasty in the Woodshed...Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
