With any fiction I have to be prepared to go where the author wants to take me (sometimes easier said than done)! California's wine country is beautiful, and I can well imagine the sort of place that's depicted here. The mystery sounds right for a lighter novel, too. I'm sometimes hesitant about amateur sleuths (ironic, since one of mine is not a cop!), but it sounds as though this one is believable.
